Blind Cat Bear is looking for a new start in life!

Bear, a 5 year old male is looking to find a new home after he was admitted to the centre due to his owner developing an allergy to cats. Bear has been blind since kitten hood and has adapted extremely well to his condition, there is no reason why he shouldn’t make a loving pet for the right owner.

Sue Dobbs, Centre Manager said: “Cats that are blind or have impaired vision can live happy and healthy lives, as they use other tools such as scent, memory and touch to find their way around.

“We think Bear will be best suited to an indoor home or one with an enclosed garden and, as long as the owner takes some simple precautions, for example, not moving furniture around and keeping his litter tray and feeding bowl in the same place, then there is no reason why he shouldn’t fit in as the perfect pet.

Bear has a lovely character – he is a gentle love bug with lots of love to give, his laid back, chilled personality has seen him become a firm favourite with staff and volunteers at the centre so do get in touch if you would like to meet him”.
